Lobbying for Recognition:
SOPRI Conducts political campaigns and lobbying efforts in the United States and International level to pormote international understanding of Somaliland's quest for independence statehood and economic need. SOPRI conducts these campaigns through several fronts including press releases, petition writing, direct mail, and personal contacts with key policy making bodies and figures in teh United States and elsewhere.

Education and Trainining:
SOPRI will support and participate all initiatives related to strengthening education and training in the children and adults of Somaliland. SOPRI has already a specific project for solilciting assistance to University of Hargeisa in California. SOPRI has established the web site of the University and still maintains it. SOPRI will establish a Technology & Business Development Center in the Somaliland. This Center will have two fold function to assist college level students and adults for Distance Learning Education through the medium of Internet and teleconferencing. Secondly, the Center will provide technical and professional assistance to the both public and private sector of people in Somaliland for acquiring business and professional knowledge through E-government and E-commerce learning . SOPRI will also provide capacity building training for small businessess and local NGOs in the form of seminars and workshops . Center will have a component of children afterschool training in the field of Internet Technology and computers.

Economic & Investment:
SOPRI plans to bring bear international attention to athe economic plight of Somaliland and spearhead and sponsor innovative ways to jump start economic activity in the country. The Institute will strive to attract foreign capital to invest in the Somalilan's natural resource development such as hydrocarbons, water, fisheries, livestock, agriculture and hard minerals. This may ultimately prove to be the quickest way to Somaliland's economic recovery and development.

Art and Culture:
SOPRI plans to reconstruct the demolished National Theater and Museum in the Capital City of Hargeisa.
